When everything seems worse because you’re not getting enough sleep, talking with a therapist can help you work out the reasons behind insomnia. When you’re sleeping too much, a therapist can help you uncover the root cause of your tiredness. A therapist can also help you set yourself up to get a restful and balanced amount of sleep by showing you how to change patterns, thinking and belief systems that are contributing to sleep issues.
Regulating sleep doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time to build up different patterns, to change your environment or to address underlying anxiety or trauma. Our goal is to get you an extra half hour of sleep a night as we work together and slowly we will change your sleeping patterns, which will change the rest of your life for the better.
